Vanessa has also taught photography classes at women's conventions and to local merchants in Calgary, AB and surrounding area.
Photographer and owner of Shutterfly Images, Vanessa received her certification in photography in 2001, graduating with highest honors.
She has worked up to present mastering her skills and working graphic arts into her passion for photography.
"I am a simple girl who really tries her best to avoid the nitty gritty details around how things work. When I pick up a camera I seem to forget everything I learned and I just take the picture. It is the same when I paint. No one ever taught me how to paint, I just got some brushes, a canvas and some paint and did something with it! Everything I do comes from my heart and not my head. Shutterfly Images is devoted to creating "stand out work" and images that are infused with passion!!"

With backgrounds in modeling, fitness and nutrition, cosmetology and photography, Vanessa has always been interested in the art of re-creating things.
Shutterfly Images is the presentation of all of these interests combined into one finely tuned passion for the visual arts. It has offered Vanessa the opportunity to exercise this particular passion in a way that has proven very satisfying for both herself and those whom she has "ambushed" with her creations.
"I have always been a bit obsessed with the idea of being able to transform something. Whether it was transforming a face with make-up, a body with weight training or exploring a personality with fashion. I like being able to re-shape and morph things. There is growth in that! Nothing need ever remain the same! I love doing all kinds of work but my favorite thing to do, is to bring people's insides out. The hidden parts of them, the dark places, the light places, the untouched places where confidence lies!"

Not Afraid To Be Creative
Vanessa is well known for her "out of the box" thinking, her creative edge, easy going manner, high energy and versatility.
